Default G22 Clutch Kit

Is the plowmans kit for $299 necessary? I just completed the lift and feels like a clutch mod is in order because of the larger tires. Don't really want it need the air filter, etc. The Jakes power kit is half the price, any feedback on that?

The Plowmans kit isn't "necessary", but it's money well spent. The other torque kits contain a one size fits all spring and in a lot of cases it's too stiff. Don will set you up with the proper spring for your usage, both sheaves, belt, the carb jets, filter and instructions to mod the air box. Plus topnotch customer service and personal instructions for governor mods.

I've got the Performance Kit on a G22 and couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the insight Dave! Sorry got wrapped up in the holidays and failed to respond or pursue the clutch kit. I'll order from plowmans.
