Default New to EZGO and need a lift?

I bought a 2002 EZGO TXT. Two things I want to do to it: Add a back seat for the munchkins, and some all terrain tires. I dont want to lift it if I dont have to but I would like some bigger tires on it. Does one have to go with the other and will it rub with passengers in the back? What size tires do you recommend? Want it tough looking to compensate for my quiet and sensative demeanor....

And what do you know about spindle lifts?

I installed a spindle lift. Raising the center of gravity will cause your cart to be more unstable. There is information on here and from the vendors on the maximum tire you can put on the cart without a lift. With a stock controller you'll be pretty limited on speed and torque.

If you are talking lifts I recommend a Jakes Lift kit. it raises it and extends the wheelbase to give more tire room. With a regular 5" lift you can go with up to 24" tires.... With no lift at all, stock tire size is 18"... I would say you might be able to go with 20". They make wheel spacers for carts also that can give you more clearance.

Go for it! Mine has a 6" spindle lift.

I definitely do not want to make it unstable because my kids will be driving it. And I don’t really care about speed or anything like that because we have to keep them pretty slow where we are. I’ve read a 20x10x10 will fit a non lifted cart like mine. Just don’t know if it will rub.

20 inch tires should be fine but not sure about with the offset you mentioned.

Sorry meant 4+3 wheel offset. I believe that will make them stick out a couple of inches from the side of the cart.
