1978 he de40 charger question
I have a 1978 hd de40. Is there a way to use a club car 36v charger and if so, would I just use the same wiring setup as the Harley charger was installed? Thanks.

Re: 1978 he de40 charger question
If it's a 3 prong Club Car charger then no can do. Most Club Cars have an OBC (on board computer) on them that is required to run the charger. If it's am older two prong charger then you can use it. You'll just have to craft new connections between the cart and charger. I use Anderson Connectors like in the photo. Cut off the connector on the charger, determine which wire is + and - then attach the Anderson accordingly. Do the same on the cart. Personally, I just run new 6 gauge wires to the battery pack + and -.
