Default Club Car Precedent Brake Adjustment

Hello, how do you adjust the brakes on a club car precedent? I just added a lift kit and it seems to brakes every time i let off the gas. Or if I press the gas the rear driver side seems to lock up.

Your cables are stretched too tight and the rear end is twisting in the mounts pulling on the cables ..... brake adjustment will not fix it...... there is a kit to extend the cable purchase 3 inches..... how much lift? What make?

There should or might be just enough slack to prevent the locking if you move the cable support for the left rear/driver side brake cable. If you release it test to see if it corrects your problem. Then you can modify the one you have. I opened up my cable support and bent it down just enough to let the cable hang down that needed extra inch. If it still doesn't give enough slack then you'll have to do what Scotty is suggesting.

While you all are on the subject. I put a 3" lift on my cc precedent and it seems like my brakes need to be tightened. Any clus as to how to adjust them? I haven't really studied it but thought some of the experts could save me a couple of hours.

There is a thread somewhere on here that explains how to adjust. On my 04 if you pull the floor matt you will see an access panel. Pull that up and you should find the adjustments for the cables.
