Got the Club Car/Solo Rider going
I got the Club Car/Solo Rider out today for a ride. After nursing the dead batteries back and repairing the hand throttles, I was able to get it out for a short ride. It doesn't accelerate like a regular cart. If you squeeze the throttle wide open as fast as you can, it starts off slowly and then accelerates to full speed. I checked it with the GPS and it runs about 12 MPH. Also the steering is very quick at speed. As you slow down the steering is much more forgiving. It takes some getting used to. I think it would be a little squirrelly at 20+ MPH. Also, when it comes to a stop a solenoid locks the brakes. Either brake control works both rear brakes. Same with the throttle.

That thing is cool. I bet 12 MPH on that feels pretty fast.
Did the accupower charger ever see enough voltage to kick off when it's done charging? |
