Default im stumped with this no start....

I thought I would make a new thread with gathered information in hopes that somebody will see what im missing. 99 txt 295cc wont turn over when pedal is pressed, heres what I know. (solenoid post lettering references service manual)

If I jump the A and B posts on the starter solenoid the engine turns over, When I press the pedal, post D is energized but post A is not energized. I have 12v from post B (battery hot) grounded to the solenoid surface so it is grounded. to me this is a bad solenoid?? the old one and new one do the same thing except the first time I hit the pedal after I swapped the new one in..

The start/Gen was tested, the voltage regulator was tested, the battery was tested, haven't tested the accelerator micro switch (unsure how) but it does click.

help me out here, what is my next step???

its fixed for now, i guess check your solenoid ground with solenoid energized because i had ground until solenoid would energize, then i lost ground? anyway...now i don't have spark, probably cause i went cowboy in the battery compartment with i wire brush on a drill...hopefully its just flooded from hitting the pedal so much. going on the charger for now

There is a "gang" of ground wires in a bolt near the voltage regulator which I'm sure you cleaned. In the service guide there are steps to test the pedal micro switch. I would also recheck the wiring against the schematic.

ill be honest, the only thing I know how to do on a volt meter is check volts. I think the switch is good

You're probably right but just look at the manual and follow the instructions. Incidentally, are you sure your battery is good to go?

I overlooked that because I was trying to follow your problem between two different threads plus you said "it's fixed" but also said you don't have spark. .

I know, it was a douche move for me to post it in a different thread, but also I felt I needed to gather the info in one place.

You should set your meter to audible continuity, and remove the wires from the micro switches. If your meter beeps when you activate the switches, they are good.

If your meter doesn't have an audible setting, set it on the lowest ohms scale. You should get a very low reading. A "1" is infinity. That means open circuit.

EDIT: Never mind. I see you got it running, but not charging.
