Fabricating Mount - Front end
I'm thinking of creating a mount that goes between the two lower shock mounting points. The ends of the mount would tuck in behind the rubber shock boot, washer, and bolt. In essence, it would be a glorified washer in this case. The mount would run between the two mounts to provide a place to mount a light or two.
Any pros or cons on this idea? (This is on a ST350 and I want to mount these lights back so they have protection of the carts brush guard and be low to provide light down directly in front of the cart. The existing lights would be changed in that they go to a SPDT switch to use the new lights or factory ST lights. The factory lights are way to bright to be used creeping around a campground at night.) |

If they ride on the axle, I would think the vibration and bumps would beat a light to death...

Re: Fabricating Mount - Front end
That's true. But that seems to be the only place I can really put them that does the job I need.
At one point, I thought there were a couple of holes on the frame I could use. After checking it out last week or so, there are none. Sigh. |

If your st350 has a brush guard, the ones ive seen have a small rectangle area at bottom, would be a god spot for small led light bar, mounted on back side of brush guard for protection.

That was I just looking at. Maybe make a bracket that attaches to the brush guard but puts the lights behind the guard a little bit.

I've got a pair on the back of the cart. They're great when I'm loading to the box trailer in the dark. Now, I'm putting a pair on the front when the factory lights are too bright. |
