Default 12" Overhead Fan For 48v Golf Carts

I am looking for any feedback on the 12 inch overhead fan for 48 volt carts. I am considering purchase but would like feedback from anyone who has used this fan. Thanks.

The fan comes with two resistors, they are designed to tie into two eight volt batteries. One for high speed and the other for low speed. I connected mine to my 12 volt power supply. The high speed is running on 9 volts the low speed is something like 5.5 volts. If you run this thing on 12 volts it screams. It is really fast on 9 volt. I run mine on low speed at 5.5 volts. I have a DPDT switch the resistors hook to, then to the fan. I also put a seat switch on the neg. wire to make the fan go off when not on the cart. No need for it to run while hitting ball or putting.

I got some aliumum strips from tractor supply to build a mounting system. I did not want to drill holes it my roof. I can slide the fan from side to side if I want to. I am thinking about getting a second one for the other side.

The seat switch is from a cub cadet mower. I ran the wires for the fan through the top support to the under side of the cart.

Hope these photos post.

Does it put out a good breeze? I have one used in cars mounted to the roof poles, thats decent. Just curious if you think it puts out enough to justify the $150? Thanks

I just played in a tournament this past week end in 90+ temps. The fan was a life saver. Nice breeze on my head really felt good.
