Default Re: MCOR/Controller question - 2002 CLUB CAR DS IQ

Thanks TahoeDawg,
I just went out to check this and I do have a white wire, but it has no black stripe. The yellow wire and the white wire are closest to the frame, and there is a purple/white wire on the third pin. I could not get my meter probes onto the MCOR to get a good reading, but I found a wiring diagram online that showed these wires going straight to large connector on controller. I probed the yellow wire and the white wire at the controller connector and I got 7730 ohms at zero throttle and 2000 ohms on floor.

You're not getting full throttle, but that can probably be blamed on worn pedal linkage. However, the numbers are well within range. I don't think the MCOR is the problem. You may have a bad solenoid. Probe the solenoid coil posts (small posts) with your multimeter. Whenever you depress the accelerator pedal you should get 48 volts to the solenoid. If there is ever an instance where voltage is applied and it doesn't click, the solenoid is bad.

OK, Thanks. I'll try that as soon as I can.
