recently cart acts like its not "downshifting" going uphill and lugs slowly on.
Before when it would slow going uphill you could left off throttle and hit again and it had more torque but it doesnt do that anymore. Where do I start checking?

Controller cart or vglide and resistor coils?

as always , first check pack voltage ...hook up a volt meter so you can see it while driving and see what its doing...batteries may be weak or one may be dropping out....v-glide could be out of adjustment also , full throttle MUST go all the way to top contact...

batteries are good just doesnt seem to have the low end power it did after running for a lil while, Ill check the v-glide

That's been uttered here many times in the past , how did you come to that conclusion ? load test each one individually ? or you did the volt meter while running and saw steady voltage ? ....whichever way , give us what voltages you recorded ( its almost ALWAYS the batteries in these cases )

The answer is almost always weak and failing batteries.

A very easy way to see if it is your batteries that are the causing your slow down is to get you some voltage reading across the pack when it seems to be dragging azz... In a 36 volt cart you would like to see voltage above 31 volts when operating under a load...
