GOT IT. I tapped the old ring back on and startex again. Used a bent screwdriver instead of the paint can tool. Lost a screw driver but got the thing off. Will report back on effect.

Those things can be a major pain. I don't even attempt to do them anymore without taking the motor apart.

why did you change your magnet? Are you hoping for more speed? I am selling a cart and it could use a little more pep does the magnet really help? I always thought it was more of a gimmick then something that really worked? please inform me!

This is a stock serpex motor in a 1998 wired system if your wondering.

Thanks for your purchase. Please guys, if you're going to buy from me, please call me direct or buy on the web store. eBay robs you with their fees.

It's definitely not a gimmick. However it won't work on your 1998. It's for the IQ system only.

If you cart is regen 1 or 2 all you have to do to get more speed is unhook the speed sensor on end of motor. If you do this you will lose regen braking as well as roll away braking.
