Default G1 oil pump delete

Hey guys new here looking for some wonderful advice. I have a 83 g1 I bought that I'm interested in premix gas. I'm just not sure how to go about it Iv seen where some guys just remove pump and hoses to carb and oil tank, is this good enough? I put new crank seal in and wondering if I could get by without having to pull clutch again and just leave the little gear in place just curious

Really only thing you have to do is plug the hole in the carb where the oil enters so it doesn't suck in dirt and air as far as removing everything else it's not necessary I got rid of everything for a cleaner look been running 100:1 premix for past two years with no problem

Thank you. So just take the pump off all the hoses and oil tank just be sure I plug the hole in the carb. How did you go about plugging it when you did yours?

Cut the hose about inch from the carb and put silicone on a machine screw and ran the screw into the hose

When I did mine I took the cover off behind the clutch and pulled the pump gears didn't want and thing to go wrong and risk taking the new crank seals out as for the exhaust line I pull the actual fitting out and welded the hole shut
