Default PDS light throttle motor stutter

All,

Tonight the speed sensor wire somehow got pinched on the controller side large terminal on the solenoid. The wire melted and it dead shorted the controller and fried it.

I replaced the solenoid, and controller with ones from another cart.

The cart runs now, but at first it wouldn't run unless the pedal was all the way down. Now it runs with light throttle, but it stutters until you get it up to a certain point and then it goes fine.

Before I did anything with the cart I noticed that if you roll it there was a clicking coming from the motor. The motor also seems to make more noise than normal when on throttle.

Pack voltage is currently 38.5v

Do you think this is the motor, or should I be checking the ITS?

More on this, haven't had a chance to look at anything, but the stutter is only very light throttle. Its a blast to drive past that, and has a very decent top speed.

I do have a question, I keep seeing a ton of posts about the speed sensor having 3 wires, mine is just a single thick white wire. What's up with that?

Actually,

I'm looking at more diagrams. I initially thought the white wire that got burnt was the speed sensor. Because that is where it appears to go on the motor.

However, it is actually the F1 wire. You can see in the picture below what happened to it.

Tonight, I checked out the ITS, it's good.

I probed the F2 wire and F1 wire testing for resistance both measure 0.07 ohms and that's from connector to connector.

I unbolted the motor in an attempt to get it off. Its not budging.

At this point, not sure if the light stutter is worth trying to change the motor. It runs very good, 17mph top speed brakes are fantastic, so much better than my lifted cart. However, if you try to do very very light throttle, it stutters, or jerks, like it's power on off very quickly. I've read that it could be the brushes in the motor.

Should I leave well enough alone?
