Re: 1994 Yamaha G9 exhaust
Oops sorry, ignition coil (Transistor Controlled Ignition if I remember)...
I cannot see how your exhaust would be clogged, it would changed when the engine is cold or hot. |

Re: 1994 Yamaha G9 exhaust
Cgtech and sformal... thank you guys for the info. I have ordered a new igniter and it should be here Thursday. I'll get it installed Friday and we'll see if that does the trick. I really appreciate the quick and knowledgeable responses from everyone... it's a quarter mile from the parking lot to our boat, so the cart has made a huge difference and we're loving it. Want to ensure I keep her in top shape :)

Re: 1994 Yamaha G9 exhaust
Update (and lesson learned) - Received the part on 9/20... apparently I was a little optimistic in my delivery time. Installed it last night, cart fired up and sounded great... took off down the dock, was running good but then started cutting out and died. Turned over but would not kick off. Pulled the plug to check for spark... had good spark - this told me must be fuel. Long story short - Check the gas tank! I had run out of gas!

Re: 1994 Yamaha G9 exhaust
Sformal - thank you for the link sir, I will refer to it often... what is even funnier is the link at the bottom of the article about what to do if you put the wrong fuel in... my youngest daughter (24) recently managed to get 6 gallons of diesel in her HHR... still trying to figure that one out.
