Need advice on how far to go with this cart...
Bought this Precedent for $200.
2007 model, factory refurbed in 2011. Spent it's entire life as an apartment maintenance vehicle. I stripped it down to the frame and got all the mechanicals done... but darn near every piece of plastic on this cart is scuffed/damaged or has paint overspray/spill on it. The flip down seat is junk/bent/missing parts... the main seat upholstery is completely shot, the roof and supports are pretty rough, etc... You get my point. After buying a charger and parts for the cart, I'm currently into it for about $1000 and still haven't put batteries in it yet. (Another $5-600) Should I: A) replace all damaged components by putting another $1-2k into it ? B) spraybomb it with OD Green/Camo paint, lift it 4" and install cheap 20" wheel/tire package to sell as a hunting buggy ? Both above scenarios involve $600 worth of batteries too. Original plan was to restore it and sell for a small profit... but now looks like that may not be possible, given all the parts it needs. Thoughts/ideas welcome. |

I think minimizing costs at this point would be best. Sand and paint it yourself, you could place seat covers on it, and remove or repair the flip down seat and put a cover on it too.... Hope fully the roof supports just need TLC and not replacement.
As far as hunting or cruising buggy, it would be what sells best in your area or if you keep it, your desires.... (And hopefully all the electronics are still good!) |

I was in the same situation, i replaced all plastics except the battery tub and the front underbody, every nut, bolt, wire was replaced and it can add up fast but the project has been a blast. Maybe get with David Hicks at Revolution (I know he has some of the plastics used) as he can get the parts direct from club car. I will say the advice above about where you live and what would see was solid advice and the way i would go.

Ditto on David. He has some used Precedent parts and may have what you need.

Bondo and duct tape will fix anything.
