Default Proper Battery Cable Fastening?

So the cable terminal should be directly against the battery lead post and then a copper washer, then nut? Should it be a lock washer?

Tighten them and check them once a month.

And be sure to seal them after installation Gazoo. SP-400 or any type of spray sealer will do the trick. If you don't, the acid mist gasses over time will cause corrosion....

If that occurs, you Fred, and Barney will be applying a lot of foot work back into your drive system...

I picked up a can today! Just taping off the plastic so it only covers the lug and post.
