Default rear leaf springs

Hey everyone - hoping you guys have some advice for me. I am trying to replace the original rear leaf springs on an 89 ezgo. while taking the rear wheels off and removing the ubolts they broke off due to rust. I now have everything apart but they leaf springs won't budge at all. the other issue I am dealing with are the bolts aren't removable from the outside so they face inwards and have zero clearance. Anyone run into this and am wondering what was the solution? I will try to post a photo but not 100% sure how to do it.

Default Re: rear leaf springs

Don't post much but saw no one has answered and 50+ views.

Sooooo....FWIW.
Remove the bagwell for better access.
Use some type of penetrating oil to help loosen the bushings and studs. I use a product called Aerokroil. Stuff is amazing.
The rear spring shackle on a Marathon is a solid steel bracket with the two "bolts/studs" welded to it and an open bracket on the opposing side for washers/nuts and two rubber bushings per stud.
Once stuff is loose the leaf should slide off the lower welded stud (with or w/o bushing) or you can "persuade" the top and bottom stud and bracket inward towards bagwell.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
