But at 54ah, their capacity is even lower than the smallest of the 3 lithium packs offered by ezgo. And would be well under 1/2 of the capacity of a pack made out of Trojan T-105 batteries. These are a bit of a joke to me.

I have an ancient yamaha 36v cart that doesn't get a lot of mileage: it's trojan t-105 batteries are almost toast, so it seemed as though the obvious thing to do would be to replace them with lithium batteries, especially since it looks like replacing the trojans at this point would be nearing $900.
For such a simple concept, it's blowing my mind how limited the drop in options are. I originally was looking at doing dakota's 54ah package since I don't need a lot of range and it's the lowest priced option I found, but they're quite a bit behind on orders.
I'm guessing they're just shipping batteries directly from China, so my new approach is to contact the factories directly through alibaba and see who's willing to create (or has an existing model) 36v batteries and can ship a single unit: we'll see how this works out
