Start with the basics.
What brand and amp. Hour of new batteries.
What is the pack voltage before charging, then after they are charged.
What type charger? Do you know for fact it is charging batteries?
Knowing this will allow members to help.
Thanks

The 2Five has an onboard charger with a built-in 30 Amp reducer. Everything else about battery pack condition applies.

I bet as the brakes warm up, they start clamping down. It's a common problem, and a simple adjustment will fix it. This can be verified with 2 simple tests (to be done on flat ground only). Put Tow/run switch in tow, turn key to N, push cart while observing amount of resistance. Then drive the cart till it slows down, and repeat this test. You will likely find significant resistance after the brakes warm up.

New batteries need to be broken in correctly. This won't help your problem, but it will help you get your money's worth out of your batteries:
