Smile Crown Battery "decoding"

I've got 6 - 8 volt Crown batteries - red color. They have C275N and C274D stamped on the upper part (top) of the case. Can someone please tell me what those letters and numbers mean? I think the batteries are about 3 years old.

THANKS, I appreciate your help.

You read the code across from left to right as follows:
1st digit = Month ( This is distinguished using Letters that refer to month, A = January, B = February, C = March, D = April and so on. )

2nd & 3Rd digits = Day (01 – 09 = Days 1 – 9, 10 – 31 = Days 10 – 31 )

4th digit = Year

5th Digit = Assembly Line ( 1 – 5, they presently have 5 production lines )

6th Digit = Warranty

7th Digit = Shift Of The Build Day

Looks like your batteries are from 2015 and 2014.

So:

C275N is March 27th 2015

C274D is March 27th 2014.

I bought the batteries in Nov of 2017. Looks like I bought batteries that were 2-3 years old ?

My 5th digit is alpha not numeric, and I only have 5 digits.

MY BAD - they are US Batteries - NOT Crown. Sorry for the confusion

AAH HA -I have seen the light!

Now that I have pulled my head out of you know where:

Turns out the date code is on the positive post of the battery. Mine all say
J 7 X

So: J is October --- 7 is 2017 ------ and X is the Corona plant.
