Charger question
This has probably been discussed, but frankly I don’t even know what type of charger I have.
Will this charger ever shut off, as in not make any noise (humming)? I can see from the needle it’s not pushing any amps. It’s hooked to a 1989 resistor cart, so no OBC like the other charger thread ongoing. |

Re: Charger question
It’s supposed to shut off.
Couple reasons for one of those to not turn off. One is low pack voltage, the pack is degraded and not able to reach full state of charge any longer. Another is the timer board in the charger may have failed, or if it has a bad capacitor the transformer output voltage may be too low for it to fully charge the pack. Although Normally a bad capacitor is going to cause it to charge at a higher than normal amperage. |

Re: Charger question
So, if I notice the needle is all the way to the left, approximately how long should I let it go?
And what is the name of that charger? Is it the one that came with the cart in ‘89? |
