Default '08 precedent MCOR replaced and the same issue

Cart runs awesome except if I cruise really slow for a long period. When I putz around at say 10 mph for about 45 minutes and then try to accelerate rapidly it doesn't want to respond. Normally it runs 27 mph but when it acts up it only goes a few miles per hour.
I read on here to pump the petal 40 or 50 times and when I do that it goes again. It only does this when the cart has been running for a long time. I replaced the MCOR last week and it has been running perfect, but tonight I was putzing once again about 10 mph for an extended period this one did the same thing.
Is this MCOR bad like the old one?
My battery voltage was 48.8 when this happened and I had been driving about one hour ant 10 mph. Pumped the pedal and drove home without issues.
Thank you for the help!!!!!

2008 Precedent. Two year old crown batteries converted to 6x 8 volt. 350 amp curtis controller.

Sounds more like the controller might be overheating and going into limp mode. Running a high speed motor at low speeds will cause the controller to run too hot and could either trigger limp mode (limits current/motor speed) or it will eventually go into thermal protection/ shutdown. If you have an IR temp gun take it with you and see what the controller and motor temps are after cruising for 30 minutes or so.

I have IR temperature gun and I can check it when it happens. I will also attach a thermocouple and a digital thermometer and I can monitor it as well. How hot will or should the controller get?
Thank you for your input!!!
