Default 85 DS electric help!

Have an 85 DS that we picked up. No batteries. I’ve seen several wiring diagrams but trying to narrow it down to the correct one. What’s throwing me for a loop is there’s a box under the charging port with 7 smaller gauge wires running back to the coil pack. Would this be the speed switch limit? The diagrams I see show individual switches. Just trying to figure out how to wire this sucker! Thanks

Yes this is your speed switch assembly...inside that box is your individual microswitches activated by a slide when the pedal is being pressed.

Gotcha thanks. One of the other issues is that literally every wire every connection is oxidized and corroded. I’m just wondering if it’s easier to scrap it all and do the pedal and controller upgrade that Scotty B has? Are these resistor coil carts worth salvaging?

Personally I hate the resistor style carts as they tend to burnt up parts constantly and have little upgrades without causing other issues...If you have the funds to upgrade, ScottyB's kit will give you way more than keeping the resistors ever will and you will be much more satisfied with the end result... IMO
