Default Mid 80's Marathon acceleration problems

Hello everyone.

I recently bought an old ezgo electric 36v cart. It was working great until recently. It has been losing power when taking off then all the sudden goes full power as you push further on the accelerator. It has been getting worse gradually.

Can anyone shoot me in the right direction for repair?
Will I still be able to get parts for this unit?

Can you post a picture of what it looks like under the seat? Looking to see if there are resistor coils there of if someone has already converted it to solid state.

Here are some more pics.
The area with the arrow has a bunch of contacts that engage steps of acceleration with the pedal right?

So yes, there is a wiper board that does the contacts and also there are the resistor coils that are a likely failure point.

I'd check your coils and see if any of them are burnt. In the second photo you have 4 major cables going into what looks like a toaster in the middle of the batteries. Look in there and see if the coils are all intact. The other option is the wiper board is making a bad connection. You may need to disassemble it or see if you can tighten it.
