1998 TXT with no reverse!

I have a 1998 36 volt Txt that runs perfect in forward but no reverse. The buzzer comes on and both micro switches are working on F/R switch. When placed in reverse and accelerator pedal is pressed the solenoid clicks but no reverse. I have swapped out the S1 and S2 cables and have reverse when in forward but no forward when placed in reverse. All connections have been checked and cables have been inspected. Is there a test I can do to see if it is my controller? The controller on my cart is P/N 25864G09.

The controller has no control over forward and reverse so if the solenoid is clicking chances are your fnr switch has failed. Try tightening the big nut on the back of the switch and see if it helps.

I thought that it had also but I have installed a new F/R switch and have the same issue. I am going to remove the wires and double check them.

I am trying to fix this cart for someone who brought it to me. The diagrams of the controller I am finding for this year of cart has 4 contacts on top of controller, mine only has three. Mine has B+, B-, and M-. The spot that has A2 is covered up with cover but is raised and say A2.

Another note, when place in forward I am reading pack voltage on all 4 contacts on the motor, This includes A1. When in reverse, I get pack voltage on S1 and S2. The findings do not change when I press the acellerator.

That points to a bad switch even though new.

I have inspected my F/R switch and it show no sign of burning or weak contact. What do I need to look for to identify a bad F/R switch? I find it hard to think it is the switch if it is doing the same thing with the old one and a new one. The wiring on this is fairly straight forward. Could I have a issue with one of the contacts on the motor? Any help would be appreciated.
