Questions on converting my resistor cart to solid state
I’ve been building a tiki bar body for my 87 marathon 36v and would like to upgrade to solid state. Hot resistor coils and a palm thatch roof with cane body panels and coconut headlights don’t mix well. I’ve been reading on different options and all of the threads on this and other forums on this topic. I was going to go with the alltrax kit but I’m not looking for anything fancy and while palm thatch roofs can withstand hurricane force winds I don’t need to go fast. I just want to have the ability to drive at slow speeds without all that heat under the seat.
I found someone that upgraded to 48v and are selling their 36v Curtis pmc controller from their 2003 txt cart with solenoid. From what I am reading all I would need is a 36v potentiometer and to do a little fab work to mount the controller and pod box. Is there anything else I would need? Thanks |
