93 carb
As I work through everything on on 93 DS, I came across another issue yesterday. I got the cart running, as I replaced the carb, fuel filters, air filter, fuel pump, spark plug and clutch spring. I had it out running and it started to flood. Gas pouring out of the overflow of the carb. I limped it home and tore it apart. I didn't find anything out of sorts, and everything looked very clean. I put it back together and ran it for a few minutes without issue. What could cause this?

Re: 93 carb
Dont take this the wrong way but it was possibly a cheap carb from amazon or ebay and had some drilling swarf in the float valve. tearing it apart has probably cleared it out with a bit of luck. It pays to check cheap carbs thoroughly before fitting.
Lets hope that is all it was. |
