84 CC 36v stuck on full throttle
cart is stuck on WOT. key does not turn cart off. had to disconnect batteries to kill it.
what could cause the cart to be on WOT even though the accelerator pedal is not pressed? 1 or more stuck solenoids? why would the ignition switch fail to cut the power off? |

For that to happen the master solenoid has to be welded, and if the cart is going top speed, then it would be the last solenoid stuck closed also.

As said above, the master and at least one other solenoid are welded.
Key off does nothing if the solenoids are welded on the old carts. Problems like that are why most people upgrade them to a solid state controller of some kind and ditch the toaster coils and solenoids altogether. |
