Age old ? what year is my ezgo.

This is my first post and first cart.

I picked up a trashed out supposed 2010 ezgo txt.(that is what I was told)
However the nameplate is gone.
It looks like it was riveted in the glove box at one time because I see two holes where it should go.
It appears to have modifications prior to me getting it.

I will list my observations.

• 4 bolt steering column
• vertical not slanted controller mounting plate.
• 48 volt solenoid mounted to rear of controller plate
• umbrella style cover for controller( not dome)
• 48 volt charging port
• 34 volts of battery pack 2-8 volt and 3-6 volt.
• 2 piece rear drums. Yoke with studs and then a drum.
• 36 volt series motor(2017)
• alltrrax sr controller(201
• 72 volt reversing contactor( yes it is )
• non clipboard steering wheel but it is upside down for alignment

I read a tech note at alltrax that ezgo fist came out with a 48volt in 2010

The charge port still had rivets for mounting.

It could be any year but looking at the parts you have it is using a series setup which is old school anymore. The frame is 2001+

Since the year on the motor is 2017 it is impossible to determine what was stock in the cart.
I know it is older than 2017 just from the wear on the brakes and rust on the frame.

One other item is it had a charcoal paint at one time with the body off the cart.

The tree the controller is bolted to was used in the 90s so who knows. Really doesn’t matter because you are pretty much starting over.

I love quizzes and puzzles, but I have been looking at those pictures for a couple of hours now but I still cant see a tree?

Looks heavily modified, road hard and put away wet! I wouldn’t be too concerned about the 2 piece rear drums, I think they’re better. The battery setup is really weird, never seen that before. Does look like just from the paint that it might have a D&D motor. Looking at the tag on it might reveal a model number which you could research for more details. I’m thinking the cart may have originally been a 48 volt model since the charge port doesn’t look like it’s been changed, 36 volt has a different river pattern. At any rate, it looks like a junk yard build. Good luck and have fun!

Brakes need a complete overhaul to the point of equalizer,cables and brake assembly and It looks like I need to get close on the year for those items

My bad cartmaster.. I just call it a tree. It is the controller mount that was used with the larger controllers in the series carts. Number 3 on this diagram https://www.countrycat.com/arctic-ca...G01%7c%7eJ-1/y
