S4 express front shocks without springs

Looking for recommendations for a 2019 express S4 front shock replacement without the spring. It was converted to lithium and I felt the coil over shocks are now overkill. I removed them hoping to rent a spring compressor to modify them but automotive ones wont fit the narrow gaps in the spring. So there was a noticeable increase in comfort alone but with for people we could tell there was some bounce.
