Default Tire question

I am looking to add new wheels and tires to my cart and was hoping to get some insight into the different sizing labels.

I am looking for a 20" tire on a 10" wheel, so for example, I see some tires listed as 20x10-8 and others listed as 205/65r10.

Are the first exclusive to turf tires?

Default Re: Tire question

The first size means tire width x high in inch, the second size means tire width x percentage (of tire width). 20 or 20.5 x 8 - 10 is equivalent to 205 65 10. Some tires are labeled with both sizes.
The picture shows a Wanda tire labeled 20 x 8 - 10 / 205/65 10

Correction:
20 x 8 - 10 = tire high (diameter) 20 inch, tire width 8 inch, rim size 10 inch
205/65-10 = tire width 205mm, sidewall high 65% of 205mm, rim size 10 inch

Ok thanks. So it’s not necessarily a differentiator between street tires or those better fit for turf.

If looking at new wheels, also consider what the wheel "offset" is. Wider tires will work fine...if the offset of the wheel is adequate enough to prevent the tire from rubbing against the leaf spring....or hitting the fender (front) when turning a corner.

205/65/10 or 20 x 8x 10 are the same. Great option for an upgrade. Ride is better because of taller sidewall and you will get about 2 mph more speed. You can normally find Yamaha take offs with black stock rims for $150- 200 set on fb marketplace. Then buy Rhox wheel covers to make look like rims.
