BMS Issues
I need to limit the initial inrush amps on my 48v Par Car. I have 4 12v -100a lithium batteries. After the batteries are depleted to less than 80% of charge the high Amp draw will cause one of the BMS systems to fall out. Is there a way to control this?

Buy an aftermarket controller and turn it down to be weaker than stock as far as battery amp current draw. Either that or replace the batteries with batteries designed for higher continuous amp output. you havent shared any info so its just a guess but It sounds like you may have used batteries meant for solar rv applications. many cheaper 12v 100ah batteries made with 32 50ah cells can only output like 50 amps... Is it a series golf cart? if so this would work very well for you I bought one myself. https://www.ebay.com/itm/29433533985...Bk9SR46-8dqxYQ |

Re: BMS Issues
They are Battle Born 100 amp hour 12v batteries, with 4 wired in series. 100 amp continuous, 200 amp for 30 seconds, 1/2 second surge for larger loads.

Re: BMS Issues
Ok that explains it. Most stock controllers are 225-300amp by default. If you have a curtis stock controller you may be able to reprogram it

Re: BMS Issues
Are the batteries ok at full charge? If so, it sounds more like balance or low cell voltage problem rather than an excessive current problem. High current trip out will be there at 100% SOC as well.
