Default ezgo PDS coil activation circuit problem

Cart ran fine....then after setting over night when you try to take off it will stutter and stop.

Coil clicks in.....then clicks back out

Testing the activation circuit

yellow wire has 38 volts positive with key on, forward selected and the peddle NOT pressed. Pressing the peddle will cause it to fluctuate a little....but stays 38 volts.

blue wire has has zero volts with peddle up, goes to -38 volts when pressed slightly.....but press any further on the peddle the voltage drops to zero and solenoid kicks out.

Where do I go from here?

update....went to put cart into diagnostic mode....no buzzer.

checked the reverse buzzer. with the cart in reverse, key on.....no voltage running to buzzer?

weird that the fnr switch does actually work....if i put it in reverse...it stutters in reverse....forward it stutters in forward.

found buzzer wire disconnected at main harness - reconnected.

diagnostic mode....no codes

now when you take of it shudders a couple times....beeps once then stops

going thru the flow chart from the troubleshooting manual indicated bad motor

but i would love a second opinion

RESOLUTION:

RAN golf cart while in diagnostic mode....tossed a code for low battery voltage and solenoid

I had VERY incorrectly assumed the blue wire dropping to zero and kicking the solenoid out was an indicator of something wrong with the circuit and NOT the solenoid.

.....changed the solenoid and its fine.

I kinda feel dumb for having working on this for like 3 hours.....over a $25 solenoid, I should have thought simple to begin with and just changed it.

Lesson learned.....

Apologies for nobody responding here, but glad you managed to find the problem. Sometimes a post or thread slips through the net.
