Default 2008 problem

So sometimes when I press the gas all the way down it doesn't want to start. Sounds like something is ready to go. What is it? Brand new battery installed a few weeks ago.

Not a lot of information there, but based on the fact that its a gas cart and "sounds like" I'm going to take a stab in the dark and ask is the starter belt slipping ?

Nothing happens, doesn't try to start, no noise. After a few times pushing the pedal down it finely starts. Have a new solenoid and micro switch coming. Not sure if that's it but it will be good to have some spare parts around.

My guess based on the vague description… carb issue. Either it’s not dialed in right, aftermarket, or dirty.

Other thing I’d check is to make sure the throttle cable and linkages are adjusted properly. With the key off and seat removed, slowly press on the gas pedal by hand. The microswitches in the black box should click after about an inch of pedal travel. Carb should NOT move yet. After the microswitches click, you should have to press the gas pedal another half inch or so before the throttle plate starts to move in the carb.

If the throttle moves at the same time or before the microswitches click, it’s going to cause both issues starting as well as slow crawling speed issues.

Seems to be running fine right now. I'll have to keep an eye on it.
