i found that rubber o-rings work great for holding the air box lid down. they are alot cheaper and stronger.

Re: Yamaha G8-A trouble running - have to pull choke to get up a hill
Welcome to the G8 club guys! We are a small, and relativley unknown group, but we got the best little carts on the forum! (I keep telling myself that!)
I am not sure why there are such few G8's in the world, but I am proud to own one! Cajun, I checked out your pics and that's what mine looked like, if not much worse when I started! Four coats of paint also!! So, which color are you going to pick? Black, Red, Blue or white?!! Did you solve your air box problem? |

Re: Yamaha G8-A trouble running - have to pull choke to get up a hill
Thanks for checking out my ride bro. My wife says I need to paint it burgandy to match her truck LOL but my son want me to paint it that Kamelion color. Thinking my son will win the argument considering it's a father son project lol. And I totally agree that the G8 is the best looking cart that Yamaha put the market And I have a crank seal and gasket problem that will need attending to before I fight with the air problem so much to do so little money LOL

Thanks Curt it will be a looker when I'm done for sure. The cash flow will determine how long it takes to get where I want it to go though. I will keep yall posted with pics of the transformation. Is that a G8 in your avatar pic. Awesome looking ride either way
