Default 1999 g-16 clutch questions

I am new to yamahas and am not sure if my clutch is opperating like it should. On my club car you can touch the gas pedal and it will start and idle without the clutch engaging untill you depress the pedal a little more. My new yamaha's clutch engages as soon as you press the pedal and the engine starts and it won't stop untill the engine shuts off completly. Does any one have any input or ideas of anything I can check or do. Thank's Chris.

It is working as it should. There is no stall on a Yamaha clutch.

You should put one pump of grease in each zirk on each clutch.

Mike PS. Then tell us which one you like better!!

Thank's for the reply. I like the ride and handling of the g-16 better than my club car at the moment. In the near future I will be swapping it's Buggies Unlimited A arm lift to more of a true A arm long travel suspension possibly from Allsports. Unfortunatly being in Florida and both carts seeing a lot of water I will have to watch out for rust on the frame of the yamaha where it won't be an issue on the club car. Chris

I wouldnt be overly worried about the frame of your yamaha rotting. we never had a problem at the FL house and my back yard is salt water. If the paint is flaked off and such spray bomb it and just give the cart a rinse with a hose every so often.

Sugar sand is way worse than salt air IMHO. I still find it hiding in places in my dually and it hasnt been in FL for a few years lol

My yamaha has a 7" all sport lift on it now. I like the quality of it so I want to put a long travel on my club car and get rid of the Chinese junk that is on it.
