Here are some pics of a very crude load test. I started with the rear shocks inflated and no load. I then started to stack on HEAVY tractor batteries. Then a chunk of steel that was aprox 100 lbs, and finely, ME standing on the bumper. Yes I know, Way too much weight, that poor old frame may kink. I just wanted to see what the shocks would handle. Aprox 7" working travel.

I like those tires . What kind and size are they? I did something very similar to the way you mounted your back shocks. But I can`t find a pic.

I found them on ebay for aprox $100 shipped (tires only). I think the size ??????
22 x 11 x 10 and I do not remember the name, I will need to look again.
I don’t like the way they bulge when inflated. I wanted something cheep until the cart is finished.

Next round of pics are of the new cross member install. I used 2x5 x 3/16 tube. Because I was afraid of weakening the frame while trying to weld 3/16 steel to the frames thin wall tubing, I also made 3/16 thick sleeves to weld together over the frame and give me some meat to weld the cross member to.These tubes also allowed me to reinforce the factory frame and cover it where I did repair the rust damage under the battery. I had better pics of the new cross member but I can’t find them. If you look close you will see it installed. The new member lowered the swing arm aprox 3” and moved it back 2”.

Thanks, it’s been a real time killer! But most important, it’s been FUN!!!!!
I have enjoyed it much more because of BGW. It’s nice to get ideas and feedback from people who have the same hobby. I don’t think I’m the only one whose wife does not understand and could care less.

It was too loud for her when I stuck the uni filter right on the carb I had to put the factory airbox back on and put the filter in it. That is with the stock muffler gutted.
