power wise problems

i have a power wise charger in the shop the customer hooked it up backwards on the cart i replaced the diodes and 50 amp fuse i plugged it up and the relay would not energize so i jumped the relay out and it powered up so i replaced the relay board now it comes on fine but will not turn off when unplugged from the cart the only way to get it to turn off is unplug the ac i have already tried another board any ideas

When you say it comes on fine, does that mean there is the normal 2-5 second delay before the relay energizes after the cable is plugged into the cart?

Does charger have standard PowerWise plug or something different?
If different, where is Battery sense wire connected?

When you unplug it from the cart and it stays on, what is the voltage between the + & - pins on the output cable?
The control board needs 44-46 volts or so for auto shutoff.

Do you continue to get a reading on ammeter after it is unplugged from cart?

thanks for your response someone has rigged a crow foot plug on this charger and are using it on a yamaha car it supposed to have two control boards in it but someone has removed the board that does not have the relay on it the board that was removed was at one time mounted on the heat sync the charger does not have any delay before powering up and when you unplug the dc cord from the car the transformer continues to hum but the amp gauge goes to zero any ideas i am leery of giving it back to the customer this way when it came in the shop they had plugged the dc cord in backwards (dont know how they did that) and it blew the 50 amp fuse and both diodes so i dont know how it was working before how do you bypass the sense lead and will i have to update the control boards

Without any punctuation and/or capitalization, it is exceedingly difficult to decipher what you are trying to convey in run-on sentences.

The two board setup might have been replaced with a single board upgrade kit, which may or may not have been installed correctly and is now not working correctly.

Unless the relay is bypassed or the control board isn't doing what it is supposed to, there should be a few seconds delay before the charger comes on.
Then the charger should turn off when the battery voltage reaches 44-46 volts, or after about 12-16 hours when back-up (safety) timer times out.

The battery sense lead connects to B- either via the Aux. contact in a PowerWise type plug or hardwired to it in a two wire plug.
The charger will not turn on automatically unless the battery sense wire is connected to B-.

If I were in your shoes, I'd order the upgrade kit, which comes with instructions, install it from scratch and provide the customer with and properly working automatic charger.
