Default KF82 Carb fuel line fitting problem

I am not sure of the technical term but the barbed fitting on the carb where the fuel line goes to seems to just be a pressure fit type of fitting..looks like serrated copper inside to adjust angle of barb possibly...my issue is that this fitting will not stay in the carb...after about a 200 yard drive in the cart, it has pulled out and is leaking fuel...is there a way to get it to stay in or can i put some sort of sealant on it to keep it in? hopefully someone knows what i am referring to in my non technical jargon...

It should have a retainer piece with a screw that hold the fitting in place.
screw is beside the fitting with a stamped metal piece that goes over the fitting.

Place the barb in a vice and use a long taper drift pin
expand the fitting a verySMALL amount.
Warm the carb with a heat gun after freezing the fitting.
Press fit and you are done.
Or drill and tap with a threaded fitting.
I have done both on large mikuni carbs.

i had same problem on mine. i didnt have a retaining screw thing either. the bard was knurled and seemed to be just pressed in there but like you i would tap it in go about 200 yards and it would work loose. my solution which worked for me was to apply redlocktite to it then tap it back in let it dry overnight. has been fine since.

JB Weld on those awkward hard to fix things. You can apply it, drill it and tap it and repair seemingly impossiible things with that stuff. Hell, I used it on a 150psi fuel line five years ago and it's still holding solid in the field
