It will do both and might get better MPG also. I couldn't find K&N without paying 70.00 so I went with Plowmans. Its alot cheaper and works great, you can also modify your airbox. If you have any questions let me know!!!!1

You hole saw the cone out going into the carb. then drill 5 - 1/2" holes in the very back of the box and cut a slot in the interior of the box. I will say these mods are for their filter and jets, he went through all of the drilling and cutting. If you do this I'll take a couple of pic's and post so you can see what I'm talking about.

Take the top and filter off. Remove the bottom of air box and drill 5 1/2" holes at the back of the box between the two mounting bolt holes. Then take a hole saw and drill out the cone shape that goes down in the intake, the elbow looking thing with 3 bolts to the air box and 2 to the carb. The last thing cut a slot out of the plastic about 1" X 2" you can see where by looking at the pic.
I hope this helps and remember this is for The plowmans kit you get 2 jets and a filter.
