I installed new batteries & now battery indicator light is on with the key in the off position & no power when you try to run the cart.

Re: Model txtpds
Hopefully, you put the Run/Tow switch in the Tow position while changing batteries. Otherwise, the controller might be blown.
I'm not sure what you mean by "battery indicator light", are you referring to a LED bar-graph type battery level meter? If so, it sounds like you've got some wires in the wrong place. Does cart have factory accessories, or are they aftermarket stuff? Maybe we can come up with a drawing that shows where the wire ought to be. |

Re: Model txtpds
Thanks for the information. I was refering to the LED bar-graph type battery level meter. As soon as the batteries are connected, the light shows full charge with the key off. There are no accessories on this cart. Chas Parker

Re: Model txtpds
Are the batteries connected as shown in drawing?
Is the battery level meter connected to the main battery pack terminals? Or is it connected to the Keyswitch. Or is it the three terminal type? Many of the LED bargraph types recalibrate to 100% whatever the voltage is when it is connected. What is the battery Pack voltage. (Should be 38.2V or better with new batteries in a 36V system) |

Re: Model txtpds
Put your cart in neutral and the LED should turn off. There are some carts that still pull power to the battery meter regardless of the key switch, my DCS cart is that way.
