Default Difference between an IQ cart and Regen II

Just curious as to what the differences it. All thinds being equal an IQ cart with a speed code 4 will run say 19-20mph and the Regen II will top out at a screaming 14mph. I realize the speed code is a function of the OBC and or the controller but once unlocked what is the difference. Is it a higher amp controller, higher HP motor, higher rpm motor, does the regen II system have built in limiting factors that are factory set or all the above?

IQ carts have controllers that have 4 speed codes, whereas regen controllers are not programmable at all. I think that is the only real difference...

If you are using it for hunting or off road at all, get a Series cart. I purchased an IQ and now I'm going through a complete rebuild to convert it to a Series cart.

Do the have the same motors? I thought the IQ was a little higher HP and higher rpm motor. Does anyone know. I am going to start a new thread and ask all CC regen II owner to post any mods and the results. If you have any info please respond. I am about ready to throw a for sale sign on mine before I get to deep and look for an older series cart. May be cheaper in the long run.

It's the controller causing the Regen2 cars to be so sluggish. I've converted many Regen2 cars to IQ and left the original motors on them. 19.6MPH with speed code all day long.

I won't have any results until I finish my mods. Everything is different. Motor, controller, f&r pretty much everything.

I know if you buy a torq IQ motor they are about 10 HP but an IQ torq motor is about 14.5 HP. If you are going to upgrade your motor and high amp controller and heavy cables you are only about 600 away from getting it converted. Once I'm done with mine I'll have about 2300 in my conversion. But I'm putting all the good stuff in it
Plum Quick Grizzly 2 hi torq motor
FSIP 700 amp controller
New charger
And a list of other stuff. I'm on my phone so I will post the whole list on my thread I'm going to start for my IQ to Series conversion

I have heard that Series carts are more "workhorses".
Not really sure why...?

Thanks for all of the replies. TahoeDawg ....I would like to be able to get 25+ out of the cart and maintain decent torque. Can I do a controller swap out, maybe a 400-500amp or would I need to swap the motor out. I have 22" tire and #4 wires. The cart will be driven mostly on flat ground. Has a back seat but will be rarely used.
