The charge port is round

The charge port is round. It does not have the trim ring but it seams to be the oringinal hole cut in the body. I am pretty sure the contacts inside the charge port are kindof in a V shape???

Thanks CT for the info. I know people will swap in a 36volt motor as an upgrade for speed/torque but did Club Car also do that as an OEM upgrade?

Also the bit about the charger receptacle being square/rectangle vs. Round is the best/eaiset way I have heard and makes perfect sense

V shaped...well that sounds like a 36v. 48v would be 3 pins inside a round hole. Check the motor see if it says 36v... also 36v did not have an OBC. Did you get a charger with it?

I really don't know if CC put in a 36v motor as a torque/speed OEM upgrade, but I seriously doubt it. CC was not into speeding up carts.

No motor to check. I will get a pic of the charge port and other stuff when I get home and post it. I know it really doesn't matter because I am changing everything but I would like to know what I am starting with.

Sounds like you are starting out with just a rolling chassis. Even with the 36v square charge port, they use a round hole in the body the same as with a 48v.

CT yes basicly a rolling chassis. It's a complete cart minus batteries and motor. The obc states 48 volt though. Know anybody with a 36v stock motor they want to get rid of? Or should I go the Plum Quick route?

Nope not strange but it is a 36v charge port. Strange that it has a controller though.
