2014 ezgo mpt

I got myself into a mess, hoping for assistance in getting out of it.

I wanted to add a Bluetooth sound system to my 48V EZGO MPT. i wired direct to the same batteries all my electrical runs on. everything worked fine until the 48v-12v converter flashed through the hot wire to the chassis and fried. The cart still drove fine for the next couple of days until the batteries died.

Now when i plug my charger in it turns on for a 30 seconds and then shuts off. I'm assuming i have a short somewhere ?

whats the battery voltage sitting at now? it could be too low the charger refuses to charge.
