Re: G1 muffler BBQ; Hot Pics!
Hi I'm new to this forum. But I have a old G1 and my muffler rusted out and it had fiberglass in it. I made a new stainless steal muffle for it and put the new fiberglass back in it. The new muffler works really good.

Yay! Fire good! Might as well add mine. Washer drum is the best fire pit ever! Was doing a G1 muffler and a ezgo 2-cycle muffler.

Re: G1 muffler BBQ; Hot Pics!
I know this is old thread and I am noob to the forums. Just wanted to state 2 things here, my 1981 does have packing, and BBQ the muffler did fix it thanks to this thread.
Mine ran great after being used hard all weekend. Next day barely run. Checked all the norms and found i had almost no exhaust coming from tailpipe at wot. Thanks again to all that contributed to this thread. |

Re: G1 muffler BBQ; Hot Pics!
I just took mine off and am going to bbq it this weekend. One question though, there's a hose that connects to it but I'm unable to remove the part that the host connects to. It's rusted shut and if I keep going I'm going to round off that nut. So can I just BBQ it with that thing on it?
