About all I can think of for under $100 is tightening the Gov and putting a 1" shorter belt on it. The belt will help torque but you sacrifce a litttle on the top end,

I used the shorter belt on my Workhorse, it was different intially but once the belt settled in and streached a little, I noticed no loss on the top end. (Thanks Ruredy)

Re: increase torque/speed on 2cyl/4cycle
Your welcome ess, the belts a good trick.
get a NOS kit for a ATV off ebay, that'll get you more power cheap. not sure how long your engine will last using that but it'll be fun. With the stock engine you won't get more speed unless you change your gearing somehow. BTW, I would never do this. |

Re: increase torque/speed on 2cyl/4cycle
The 1 inch shorter belt for your 4 stoke ezgo is to use the 2 stoke ezgo belt It is a bear to get it on & may be hard to shift F&R at first, but it will beak in and improve low end considerably Like Jon said

I believe on a 94 marathon you have to go to a yamaha belt. never did it so I have no first hand knowledge about it. read the thread about shorter belts in the tech section, the info is posted there.
