gas gauge
i was thinking of putting a gas gauge on my 04 ds and every thing i could find every one says that you need a new gas tank but when i was researching gas tanks online the only difference i could find between my tank and a tank with a fuel sending unit was the hole was cut out or I'm i wrong
here is a pic of a cart whit a fuel gauge i know it is not a ds but the tank is the same  and here is my tank  |

Yup I put one in my DS. I just used a hole saw to cut a hole in the tank. Put the sending unit in and seal it up.
