Club car won't go.
Our 97 Club car Carryall 1 won't go. It has full battery charge, but when the pedal is actuated the battery gauge drops and the solenoid clicks but no movement. We will clean all battery cables first and see if that fixes due to the growth of excessive blue cheese. However if you have any ideas as to what may be the fault please inlighten me.

Re: Club car won't go.
Battery connections is the obvious culprit. Also, how old are your batteries? If you have a shorted battery, it may be reading 48 when sitting still, but under load it goes opposite, so instead of putting 8 volts, it puts -12 volts or something like that... so instead of 48v you now have 28 volts (the 8 you aren't getting plus the negative effect).

Re: Club car won't go.
After cleaning the cables we had a spark issue when installing the ground wire going to the control box(I think). It Sparked pretty good twice, so we checked all our other connections to make sure no brain farts happened. When we installed the cable after that there was a slight spark but, nothing like before and the cart works perfectly, for now. Hope it was just stuck relay or something like that.
Thanks Vinnie |
