Here's a guy near me who has a cart body with seat brackets attached. $75 for the whole thing:

That's more than just the body, that's the entire FRAME and the body, minus the suspension work. You could take off the body, and sell the aluminum and COME OUT AHEAD!?

Darn you, Springbrook! You do live in the club car mecca of the universe.

Orlando - Are you are planning on putting a rear seat on your cart? If you go that route, you wouldn't need to worry about buying the brackets because the club car rear seat kids come with new seat brackets for front and rear. Just something to consider.

a $5 cart?!?!?! that's a great deal! and it runs! That's cool! Also the deal on the cart frame and body is good too! i personally would like to have the race car body next to it! i have some cart axles and stuff that would make a cool Electric NASCAR replica car! Springbok, and idea on if it's for sale?

keep us posted on your progress and have fun with that cart!

Everything will bolt right up. That cart is the same as yours. Even looks like an 84-91 model, it has the removable rear fender flares on the fiberglass body. In 1993 they switched to a plastic body with fender flares molded-in, like on mine (my cart is an '87 but has the newer body on it).

In this pic I can even see the KF82 motor out in front of the cart there in the background. I wonder what he's going to do with it.

I have about $170 total in it so far
Heres what I have done to date
replaced:
spark plug
gas filters
air filter
both belts
engine oil
lube in both trans and gears
tore down carb cleaned and reassembled
replaced fuel pump
installed a airbox and billows that was missing (bought off a forum member)
checked compression, is at 100lbs
Cart now starts easily and has good take off but seems to kinda fall on its face and slightly cutout starting at 3/4 throttle. I know this engine isnt the most powerful but I think there is some power left in her
Any ideas of what to check??
Thanks guys

Compression is quite low based on what I have seen posted.

As I understand 100 psi is what the manual calls for for this engine

I agree, 100 psi is within the good range. These motors do have a surprising amount of power. Last night at a music festival I piled 6 friends (including myself) on to my cart and it performed like a champ. Still had good power and climbed hills. I was impressed!

Here's a guy in Mentor parting out an '88 Club Car. You may be able to get seat brackets and body parts from him:
