![]() I have seen plenty of Lithium RXV's here - mostly directly from dealers either new or refirbs. I don't think they do anything special but I have never talked to the dealers about it.

![]() I think Pat is referring to the BMS shutdown that locks up the brakes....

![]() I appreciate the info with the battery issue, everyone. I picked up a single 48v 150ah 200/600. Comes with a 20amp charger. Hopefully, this will solve the cut-out.
I wasn't too irritated to discover I researched and still purchased insufficient batteries. Lesson learned. What really gets me is finding the possibility of that brake locking up the rear-end at 30+ with my elderly Mother driving it. She just healed up from a broken femur. Not going through that again. |

![]() I’m thinking out aloud here and any mods will need to be thoroughly tested but it would need something to keep the ebrake disengaged on a BMS shutdown AND a way of bringing the cart to a controlled stop at the same time.
There must be mods to the factory lithium otherwise EZGO is exposing themselves to lawsuits in the event of injury or worse, death if a lockup occurs. |

![]() I'm putting disk brakes on the front before I mess with the motor brake.
One idea I'm still playing with is a relay or two that will supply power to the e-brake in the event power is cut by the controller. Shouldn't be more than a fraction of a second before the brake comes back off. I haven't tried powering it up yet with the brake removed from the motor but still connected. Do you know if it will fail the start-up tests like that? -Don |
